"Loyal and True" was written, with words, by E. DeLamater,
was copyrighted in MCMXL(1940) and, published by
Rubank, a well-known music publisher in Chicago.
Our precious teacher, mentor and friend has now moved forward in her life experience as she has
been elevated to the ultimate center of education and the well-deserved reward of being with her Heavenly Father and
with many who have gone before her. We will miss her so. Her funeral service was held Saturday, February 14 on
Valentine's day in Uvalde.
Please leave your remarks and memories of Mrs. Shockley in our
UHSAA Forum. So many of us enjoyed her and learned from her as our
mentor and our friend, and always as an example of how life should be lived and enjoyed. Please add your comments to our forum and celebrate
your memory of her life with us.
Welcome Uvalde High School alums, visitors and former students of the
UCISD. We hope that you will spend time to become acquainted with our
classes who have websites, and learn the goals of the UHS Alumni Association. Please take the time
to sign our guestbook to let us know that you visited. This promises to be a good central place
for the alumni of UHS to reunite.
We hope that you will consider joining the association and we invite you to do that.
It can be done at low cost and right here online, and it will enable you to help some deserving UHS graduating seniors continue their education through the UHSAA Scholarship Program,
receive regular updates on UHSAA and UHS class activities and more importantly, become a
part of them. Please click
