Our first Austin area mini-reunion was a big success and all the alumni had a great time. I want to thank Andy and Linda Anderson and the ELKS for hosting this. There were 21 attendees representing the classes of '45,'50,'58,'59,'60,'61,'64,'68,'70 and '72.
The ELKS lodge is a neat facility. It sits on top of a small hill right off Barton Springs Rd. and has a wonderful view of downtown Austin. We intially gathered in the social area and had food and drinks. We then moved to a large private room where we all visited and got to know each other again.
I want to thank Linda Anderson and George Speir for taking some great photos of the event (see below).
We will be having more of these Austin area reunions and hope to have another one in September. If you have any suggestions for locations please let us know. My favorite place is the Oasis, for the sunset and great views of Lake Travis and the Hill Country. We look forward to seeing you at the next one.
